About Wesley
Wesley came up writing consumer nutrition pieces in the unforgiving school of high-traffic web magazines: editors who measured every sentence’s reading level, headline tests that culled the lower-performing eighty percent within forty-eight hours of publication, and a strict house rule that no acronym appeared in body copy without a friendly five-word translation. That discipline has become the way he writes.
After graduating from Tufts in 2017 with a degree in Nutrition, Wesley took the Precision Nutrition Level 1 certification and worked briefly as a Tufts dining-services nutrition consultant before pivoting into food-and-health writing. From 2019 through 2024 he was on staff at Eat This, Not That, where he wrote primarily on weight loss for everyday adults: which restaurant entrées to pick, how to read a label without going down a rabbit hole, why the eight-glasses-of-water rule was always made up. He took the Precision Nutrition Level 2 in 2022.
What Wesley covers here
Wesley writes the technical-vocabulary explainers that need to go down easy — calorie counter versus calorie tracker, the free versus paid primer, the counter for busy parents, the easiest counter when you have ten minutes a day. His brief on every piece is the same: write it for a person reading at a kitchen table on a Tuesday night, with one earbud in and three other tabs open. If they can’t follow it on a single read-through, the draft gets rewritten.
